There are many opportunities throughout the 2025 season to help out. The events below are the big milestones throughout the season that require a lot of effort to pull off. There are opportunities for all skill levels and abilities!

Prep and Plant – Saturday, April 5, 2025, 1-4 PM

The weather is starting to warm and the ground is ready! Garden preparation adds compost to the beds, confirms the water systems are working, and gets the frost tolerant crops into the ground. Come and get your hands dirty with us! Feel free to bring your own tools or use ours. The only thing needed is a desire to help your neighbors!

Rain date: Sunday, April 6, 2025, 1-4 PM

Big Planting Day – Saturday, May 17, 2025, 1-4 PM

It’s time to get all of the crops into the ground! Come and join us as we plant the majority of our crops for the season. With your help, we can get the 2025 season fully underway.

Rain date: Sunday, May 18, 2025, 1-4 PM

Planting & Transplant Day – Saturday, June 7, 2025, 10 AM – 1 PM

Out with the old and in with the new! As the cold weather crops come out, the warm weather crops are ready to be transplanted. This is a great opportunity to get your hands on the fruits of the garden.

Rain date: Sunday, June 8, 2025, 10 AM -1 PM

Garden Orientation – Ongoing

Our lead gardeners will be giving an orientation to the garden. If you’ve never been to the garden before, feel free to drop by and learn more about who we are, what we do, and how to help. Even something as simple as watering the plants goes a long way to help us provide food to those in need. Head over to our Sign-up page for dates and times and sign up to let us know you’re coming. Rochester Farmers’ Market 2025

The Grow to Give Garden will be hosting a booth at the Rochester Farmer’s Market. Anyone can help assist the garden and its mission by purchasing produce from our stand at the Farmers’ Market. Please feel free to stop and learn more about us.
